The stars of Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ also helped LAC kick off their 10th Anniversary.

To fête LAC’s 10th Anniversary, Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington hosted a special soiree at supperclub Los Angeles in Hollywood. The electrifying venue’s aerialists entertained the crowd, and DJ Benjamin Walker spun some tunes, while Foxx jumped on stage to emcee the evening. Guests sipped custom Chambord Flavored Vodka cocktails, while Candee by Sandee provided a beautiful candy bar. Merrill Lynch Wealth Management presented the evening, while sponsor Burgess Yachts brought a model yacht to display during the party. The Tenors gave a special performance to round out the evening.

Japan’s cuisine is usually associated with the delicate flavours and textures of sushi, but the national airline is opting for an altogether more robust festive meal — KFC chicken.
Japan Airlines will be handing out offerings from Colonel Sanders on some Europe and US-bound flights for three months from December 1.
The carrier said it would be dishing up an Air Kentucky meal, consisting of a chicken drumstick and a breast fillet accompanied by bread, lettuce and a cup of coleslaw.
KFC is a popular choice in Japan at Christmas, an almost wholly commercial festival mainly celebrated by young lovers.

The promotion commences on December 1st 2012 and runs until February 28th, 2013. Passengers in economy and premium economy classes on from Tokyo Narita airport to New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, London, Paris and Frankfurt will be the lucky recipients of the lardy lunch.

After all that news on Jay-Z being on the truffle hunt, I thought you might be interested in this piece 60 Minutes did on truffles. It’s crazy. It covers everything from Chinese stepping on the product by mixing theirs with the French, weakening the real deal from France AND ITALY, to restaurateurs scared to dry snitch on truffles handled on the black market. Quite interesting.

So Jay-Z has shelled out an eye-watering €15,000 on three kilos of white truffles on a recent holiday to Italy. The inevitable column inches that followed were nothing new – after all, his spending habits are well documented, and as the cult of celebrity spirals out of control, there will always be a market for those interested in the consumer habits of the rich and famous. But what does this extravagant detail say about the Jay-Z brand? And why do we care?
