I missed it, but I just watched it. Pretty intense interview. He dodged a little, but I understand he didn’t want to cut off his nose to spite his face.

January 1st, 2012 | Posted by in Barclay NFL - (0 Comments)of course the controversy …
-POSTED BY BARCLAY-This story appears in the Jan. 9, 2012 NEXT issue of ESPN The Magazine.
IN JUST ONE FULL SEASON as an FBS starter, the 6’5″, 248-pound Newton won the 2011 BCS national championship and the Heisman Trophy while pulling off the stunning combo of leading the SEC in rushing and finishing second in the NCAA in passing efficiency. Scouts and draft experts, however, focused on Newton’s lack of experience, the allegations that he’d transferred to Blinn College after two years at Florida to avoid academic expulsion for cheating or that his family was paid for him to attend Auburn. On many boards, he was ranked the second-best quarterback in the draft, behind Blaine Gabbert. NFL Network analyst Joe Theismann wasn’t even sure whether the Auburn star was worthy of a first-round pick. The reviews were so harsh that Newton’s mentor, Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, wondered whether they were fueled by racism. “But I can’t sit up here and look at it like, oh man, my critics are racist,” Newton says. “I blame JaMarcus Russell and to some degree Vince Young. If you have the opportunity to make that kind of money doing something you love to do, why would you screw it up? I’m trying to be a trailblazer. If Baylor’s Robert Griffin decides to come out, I want people to say ‘He can be the next Cam Newton’ instead of ‘He’s gonna be the next JaMarcus Russell.’”
Cam got next. Read Here.

-POSTED BY BARCLAY-Earvin “Magic” Johnson(MJE) x Timothy J. Leiweke (AEG) are bringing the NFL back to LA
December 1st, 2010 | Posted by in Barclay Business and Entrepreneurship | Barclay NBA | Barclay NFL - (0 Comments)Timothy J. Leiweke serves as President & CEO of AEG, and Magic Johnson just sold his 105 Starbucks franchises for over $100 million, he also owned a nearly 5% share of the Lakers, but sold it Patrick Soon-Shiong recently. Magic announced on Jimmy Kimmel his plans to purchase an NFL team, possibly relocate one because he doesn’t think the NFL wants to expand. He also mentioned that him and Timothy J. Leiweke of AEG have put together the ownership team and would partner with the team owner on the team and the stadium. BIG MOVES.
Are we snatching another team from Minnesota…LOL
Lake Show ALL DAY ! but rumors are floating around suggesting the Minnesota Vikings could be the team moved to Los Angeles, also Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills have been mentioned. I guess I need to move fast with rumors of the San Diego Chargers moving to Los Angeles and another recently shot down rumor of LA entrepreneur Phil Anschutz purchasing a 35 percent stake in the Chargers. What I mean buy hurry up is…see….I’m going own my hometown NFL squad, and also considering relocating the Clippers back to San Diego. I admire Magic Johnson for this move and you should too. He’s making brilliant business moves and presenting the world with a positive image of Black America DOING BUSINESS ! It seems like we have too many false images and portrayals of Black America in the media and in entertainment so whenever we BOSS UP, it makes me feel proud.
